Summer 2025 Towelarama

This summer the weavers from the Beginning Weaving Class and the Three-Day Weekend Weaving Class will be offered the opportunity to weave four beautiful dishtowels at the RIWC. The Studio Weavers will guide you through the process. The Towelarama runs for 5 weeks, on Mondays from 12-3:30, from June 2-June 30.

The Studio Weavers will wind the warps and put them on the looms for you. In Week 1, you will thread the heddles and sley the reed. We will be there to help you, and the ‘weaving angels’ will help get you caught up, if needed. You will then weave a towel a week for the next 4 weeks. By the end of the 5 weeks, you will have 4 beautiful towels.

A dishtowel pattern has been selected by the group, but it can be woven in many ways to make your towels unique. Also, you get to select the colors of the stripes. Once you register for the class, the email that you will receive will have directions on color selection.

The cost of the Towelarama is $225 which includes all materials. Towelarama is only open to people who have completed the Beginning Weaving Class or the Three Day Weekend Weaving Class at the RIWC.
