Hap Shawl Knitting Workshop

Donna Kay

Saturday October 24, 2026
9:00-4:00 with an hour for lunch

Shetlanders are famous for their beautiful “one piece” shawl construction. Learn a simple, modern method for knitting a shawl from the center out while keeping the details that make a Shetland shawl unique. We will be knitting a sample size in class using traditional yarns and pattern stitches, including lace edging. Chart reading, finishing and blocking will be covered in detail. Students will receive instructions for a full-size shawl.
