Kids’ Weaving 3

Thursdays March 6-27, 4-6 PM

Using our knowledge and skills from Weaving 1 and 2, the students will use rigid heddle looms to create 18” of fabric to sew into a pencil, makeup, or knickknacks case. We’ll work together to dress the looms, then experiment with texture and pattern before working on our final fabric. The first 4-5 weeks of class will be setup and weaving, while the last 1-2 weeks will be sewing. The students will review terminology, build confidence through crafting, and finish the program with a useful item.

*completion of Weaving I or 2 is a prerequisite of this class, but please contact the instructor, Jaimee (jaimee22@gmail) to arrange a crash course if you’re interested!

Dates:

Thursday afternoons (4-6PM); 4 weeks, March 6-27. (If we need one extra class to finish our textile, that class will be April 10th.)

Cost:

$220 (which includes all materials)
